BANK003 — Bank Transfer FAQ

How long will my bank transfer take?
After you initiate a transfer, there are only a few possible outcomes:
The bank details are correct, and it will be successful.
The bank details are wrong, and the bank can't match your account, and it will be returned.
For instant transfers: The destination bank does not support real-time payments (RTP), causing the transfer to remain stuck in "processing" status. In this case, Xtrm will work with their banking partner to return the funds to your wallet, and you will need to reinitiate the transfer using the standard Free Transfer (ACH) method instead.
If your transfer shows "Complete" status but your bank says they haven't received it, the receiving bank likely has the wire but hasn't yet credited your account while they match the details. If the bank details were incorrect, the funds will return automatically and be credited back to your wallet.
Note that any bank return fees charged by the receiving bank will be deducted from the returned amount.
If your bank denies receipt of the transfer, please request a SWIFT/MT103 from [email protected]. When we initiate a bank trace with our banking partner, we'll provide you with key reference information to help your bank locate the payment:
Payment amount
Value date
Xtrm reference number
Related reference number, such as a PET reference
Beneficiary account details
Provide these references along with the MT103 message to your bank. In many cases, funds have been received but are held in the bank's suspense account rather than posted directly to your account.
The payment references and MT103 allow your bank to locate the funds in their suspense account and credit them to your account.
Sometimes a call from you with this information is all that's needed to credit your account.
For RTP (Real-Time Payments) transfers: If your instant transfer in the USA results in a VOID or rejection status, the return to your wallet normally occurs within a few days but can take 1 to 10 business days or more depending on the receiving bank. Any instant transfer fees are waived when the transfer is cancelled due to the destination bank not supporting RTP. The receiving bank must first process the reversal before the funds are credited back to your wallet.
