Salesforce Payment Integration

What is it? The Salesforce Connector (SFDC Payment App) is a powerful tool that allows your organization to automate global payments directly from your existing Salesforce environment. Instead of logging into separate banking portals or payment platforms, your team can manage the entire payout process without ever leaving Salesforce.

How It Works The integration works as a seamless loop between Salesforce and the payment processing engine. It follows a simple three-step cycle:

  1. Create (The Trigger)

    • Your team creates a "Payment Record" inside Salesforce, just like you would create a lead or contact.

    • This record contains simple details: Who to pay, How much, and For what.

    • User Action: You simply save the record.

  2. Process (The Automation)

    • The Connector runs in the background at set intervals (typically twice a day).

    • It automatically detects any new, approved payment records that haven’t been processed yet.

    • It securely transmits this data to the payment engine to execute the transfer of funds.

  3. Update (The Reconciliation)

    • Once the payment is processed, the system writes the results back into your Salesforce record.

    • You will see the Status change (e.g., "Completed" or "Failed"), along with a unique Transaction ID and the exact Time Processed.

    • If a payment fails (e.g., insufficient funds), the system logs the specific reason directly on the record so you can correct it immediately.

Supported Payment Types The connector handles three primary payment scenarios using a single, unified method:

  • Personal Payments: Sending funds to individuals (e.g., rewards, rebates).

  • Company Payments: B2B transfers to other businesses (e.g., vendor payments, partners).

  • Employer Payments: Payouts related to payroll or employee expenses.

Key Benefits

  • Single Source of Truth: All payment data and history live inside Salesforce.

  • Automated Workflow: No manual file uploads or data entry into third-party apps.

Real-Time Status: Immediate visibility into whether a payment was successful or if it needs attention.
