COMPANY007 — Understanding Payment Types

Modified on Thu, 6 Aug at 11:33 PM

Xtrm supports three primary payment classifications: Personal, Company, and Employer. Understanding these payment types ensures that payouts—whether for individual rewards, B2B vendor settlements, or channel sales performance incentives—are directed to the correct beneficiary structure with appropriate tax and administrative visibility.

Core Payment Types

Payment TypeBeneficiary TargetTypical Use CaseAdministrative & Tax Handling
PersonalIndividual PersonsDirect payouts to contractors, workers, ambassadors, or individual sales reps.Funds flow directly into the individual's account. Tax reporting (e.g., US 1099) applies directly to the individual.
CompanyBusiness EntitiesStandard B2B payments, vendor settlements, or corporate partner payouts.Funds flow directly into the beneficiary business's corporate wallets and accounts.
EmployerCorporate Entities (On behalf of employees)Sales Performance Incentive Funds (SPIF), rebate allocations, or earned employee rewards.Payouts are made to the employer company, which receives an itemized breakdown of payments earned by individual employees. The employer retains control to redistribute funds to employee wallets or transfer them to a business bank account.

Supported Payout Execution Methods

Regardless of the selected payment classification (Personal, Company, or Employer), disbursements can be routed using any of the following delivery channels:

  1. AnyPay Wallet (Recommended / Default)

Employer Payments (SPIF & Channel Rewards)

The Employer payment type is designed for channel partner environments where individual employees earn performance incentives (SPIFs), but corporate governance requires employer oversight.

Remitter payments sent to an employer’s corporate wallet include an itemized breakdown for review. The employer can then choose to distribute the funds directly to individual employee wallets or transfer them to a company bank account - Refer to Managing Employer & Partner Payments

  • Employer Visibility: The beneficiary company can view complete line-item breakdowns showing which employee earned each portion of the payout.

  • Flexible Management: The employer can choose to:

    • Distribute funds directly into the earned employees' digital wallets using Xtrm.

    • Transfer the funds into the company's primary corporate bank account.

    • Hold or reallocate funds based on internal corporate agreements.
