PERSONAL001 — Personal Wallet Overview and Transfer Fees

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Learn about holding funds in your personal Xtrm digital wallet and the transfer fees associated with moving money to banks, debit cards, prepaid cards, and gift cards.

Overview

Your Xtrm personal wallet allows you to receive, hold, and manage funds securely in multiple currencies. Holding funds in your wallet or sending money wallet-to-wallet is fast and fee-free. When you choose to cash out or transfer funds outside of your Xtrm wallet, standard network and processing fees may apply depending on the target destination.

Note: Personal wallets are designed to receive funds from companies and then withdraw or transfer them. They cannot be funded to make payments to others. If you need to fund a wallet to pay others, you'll need a Company Account.

Transfer Options:

You have several options to transfer funds from your XTRM Personal Digital Wallet:

  1. Bank Transfer

Send funds directly to your bank account anywhere in the world. To transfer funds:

    1. Log in and go to your Personal Wallet

    2. Add and verify your bank details

    3. Choose Bank Transfer, enter the amount and currency, and confirm

    Bank Transfer Fees:

    • Rapid Bank Transfer (Instant): 1.5% + $0.25, capped at $15.00.

    • Standard Wire: Typically a flat fee of approximately $6. For cross-border non-local currency wires, there is an additional $20 fee.

    • Standard Bank Transfer: No additional Xtrm fee, making it the recommended option for minimizing fees. However, banks may still apply their own FX rates and margins for currency conversion.

Additionally, intermediary banks and receiving banks may deduct their own fees during the transfer process, which can reduce the amount that arrives in your destination account.

Foreign Exchange (FX) Rates: When transferring internationally with currency conversion, the FX rate is determined by Xtrm's banking partner, not by Xtrm itself. This rate may differ from public rates, such as Google rates, and can include bank or network margins that Xtrm cannot control.

Tip: To minimize fees on international transfers, use the Standard Bank Transfer method instead of Rapid Bank Transfer. While this won't control the FX rate applied by the banking partner, it ensures you won't be charged any additional Xtrm transfer fees.

  2. Digital Gift Cards

Access over 1000 global digital gift cards, such as an Amazon digital gift card.

Note: Gift card transfers have specific amount requirements. Some providers only accept whole dollar amounts without cents (e.g., 250 will work but 250.75 will fail). Additionally, certain gift cards must be issued in specific denominations—for example, Zalando gift cards must be in multiples of 50 DKK.

  3. Reward Link

A flexible gift card option that allows you to choose from a variety of rewards, including digital gift cards, prepaid cards, and donation options.

  4. Prepaid Visa and MasterCard

Opt for a prepaid virtual or plastic Visa or MasterCard for versatile use.

Note: To cancel an unused prepaid card and return funds to your wallet, you must provide the card reference number (starting with RA...) and confirm the card has not been activated or used. Cancellations are subject to approval and incur a 25% restocking fee deducted by the prepaid card provider.

  5. Personal Check

Request funds to be sent via a personal check for traditional cashing.

Each transfer method has its own processing time and associated fees, so be sure to review the details when initiating a transfer.

Troubleshooting Transfer Discrepancies

If you receive less than expected after an international transfer, the discrepancy may be due to:

  1. Xtrm's transfer fees, which may be deducted before funds are sent.

  2. FX conversion rates applied by banking partners.

  3. Additional fees or charges applied by your receiving bank or intermediary banks.

To investigate discrepancies with the banking partner, contact Xtrm support and provide a bank credit advice, such as a screenshot or PDF, showing:

  • The exact amount credited.

  • The date of credit.

  • Any fee or charge breakdown shown by your bank.
